Detached houses, Casal Palocco (Rome), 1984

The project of cottages of Via Senofane in Casal Palocco (Rome) was developed between 1984 and 1987.

It is a private residential housing project, developed on a low population density plot with ample green space around it for each apartment.

The design is the same of Via Tespi project with four duplex apartments on the lower floors and other four accommodation on the upper floors.

The interior layout has always been a feature of these projects, to meet the needs of users to free market.

The use of materials is affected by the design trend that had begun in Capodimonte, used for the project in Sabaudia and then it would be used for the project of the Police station, up to the competition of Selva Candida Church.

In fact here we can find the use of the visible brickwork.

Furthermore the windows and the facade are designed with the reference of Stirling and Gowan architecture.

Although it's a preliminary design, it's developed as if it were a working plan.
